Find an Accredited Outfitter/Certified Guide

Rogue Wilderness, based in Merlin, OR, is soon to become the first whitewater rafting outfitter to earn the Chapin Clark Whitewater Rafting Safety Certification. The 36-year-old company operates a major whitewater rafting and fishing company on the Rogue River, the nation’s first “Wild and Scenic” river. Contact them at www.wildrogue.com.

The Foundation offers the Chapin Clark certification to those outfitters who have undergone specialized safety training and operational review by Rescue3 International, the world’s largest whitewater rescue organization. We will post the names of more outfitter businesses as they are certified.

The Clark certification is especially geared to commercial whitewater operators. It covers not only relevant rescue training, but also “best practices” review and compliance for equipment, guide preparation and training, and communications systems.
